Recognizing that judicial officers often face complex legal queries that require collaborative deliberation, this digital platform serves as a 24/7 intellectual resource. It allows for the seamless sharing of precedents, clarification of administrative circulars, and expert-led discussions, ensuring that no officer stands alone in their pursuit of legal clarity.
It is a Statutory Institution established under the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009, with a view to imparting comprehensive legal training to all the stakeholders of the justice delivery system and providing legal research facilities to the judicial officers and court personnel. Judicial Academy, Assam, started functioning w.e.f 18.05.2013 in the New High Court building located near M.G. Road, Guwahati-781001, Assam. Academy initially started conducting Induction Training for the Grade I, II and III Judicial Officers of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh and the selected candidates for appointment to the Grade III of Assam Judicial Service. Academy vouches for continuing judicial education for all the stakeholders of the justice delivery system to enrich the quality of justice delivery. At present, Academy is operating from the new campus at NLU & JAA premises, Amingaon.
